Integrated Management and Monitoring
FortiManager ™ is an integrated management and monitoring device that enables enterprises and service providers to easily manage large numbers of FortiGate ™ security appliances. It minimizes the administrative effort required to deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain the full range of network protection services provided by FortiGate devices for enterprises and service providers alike. FortiManager improves security by ensuring consistent definition and application of policies across the full line of FortiGate security appliances and provides a central point for monitoring system status, threat activity, and network security.
Fortinet offers two models of the FortiManager Server – the FortiManager-400A and FortiManager-3000 Servers. The powerful FortiManager Server appliance and the easy-to-use, web-based user interface scales to support multiple system administrators and hundreds of FortiGate units. Powerful role-based administration capabilities make the FortiManager Systems ideal for large enterprises and for service providers offering managed security services. The Update Manager feature makes it possible to acquire and distribute AV, IDS, antispam and web filtering updates to FortiGate units throughout the network, automatically. This allows service providers to extend this functionality to customers.
